■CBD was originated in 1920s
in USA. As the business center of the city, CBD always collects
lots of facilities of inance, trade, culture and service, as well
as business ofice,hotels and apartments. CBD is a boring shopping
mode because of a narrow shopping space and the facilities lack
of humanity. Small space and crowded road are the weakness of
traditional CBD.
■From 1950s to 1960s, CBD appeared early or late in New York,
Chicago and Los Angeles in USA. Up to 1980s, some CBDs of different
styles formed in the world. Among which, the districts in American
New York Manhattan, Japanese Tokyo Shinjuku and Hong Kong Central
are well known.
In the later period of the 20th century, Hangzhou Wulin Business
District was formed step by step and it has become a famous CBD
in the Yangtze Delta Area. |
