■A Brief Introduction to Huang Qiaoling
Huang Qiaoling, chairman of Songcheng Group, is an international consultant of World Leisure Organization, vice chairman of both Zhejiang Entrepreneurs League and Enterprises Association, assistant deputy chairman of Asia-Pacific Leisure Education and Research Center of Zhejiang University, and a guest professor of both Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Besides, he was awarded Zhejiang Businessman of the year 2004 and year 2006. Also, he was awarded one of the ten major characters of outstanding contributions in furthering China's Urbanization by Sina in the year 2005.
■Huang Qiaoling, born of serviceman, once was a reporter of army newspaper. He made several contributions and was awarded many times in army and after went back home he undertook the chainman of local Literary Federation and then the head of the People's House of Arts. Once he was engaged in the research of the theory of literature and art, and Le Daiyun, a professor of Beijing University was his teacher in this field. In 1987, after leaving his academic post and going into business, he set up his own business in Hainan and became the first person developing tourism in Hainan. In 1994, he devoted his time to the development of culture and tourism in Hangzhou. After the opening of the first theme park in Zhejiang and the biggest theme park of Song dynasty in China named "Scenic Spot of Songcheng", he created a precedent that private capital put into tourist and leisure industry. At present, Songcheng Group has become the biggest enterprise invested by private capital in this field, and has formed three major industries including tourism and leisure, culture and creation and real estate, with thetotal asset exceeding ten billion yuan.
■As a practitioner and explorer of China's leisure economy, he first brought forward and carried out the new theory of "Landscape Real Estate" in China and developed it into a higher level of "Big Leisure Community". The hall of World leisure Expo of 2006 in Hangzhou, the world leisure garden, is built from his own designs, a big RBD.
Huang Qiaoling deeply loves artistic creation. He applied his rich experience from culture and arts study to create and direct a song-dance called "Fantastic Love of Songcheng", a bold breakthrough and a pursuit to perfection, which skillfully combined stage arts, square arts and film arts into a unity. It is really a new exploration to literary and artistic creation. After ten years' development, it becomes the symbolic performance in Hangzhou and attracts two million audiences every year.
He is an enterpriser, industrious of thinking and forward-looking. His main works include "The Leisure World in Huang Qiaoling's Eyes" and the series "The Leisure Age", "Four-day Workweek " and "Survivors".
